China National Archives of Publications and Culture is a landmark for primary cultural heirloom project in the new era. It's a national resource pool, and a seed gene bank of Chinese culture. NExT is honored to participate in the optimization and enhancement of the exhibitions, and has completed the production and display of the digital character called 'Wen Han'.
In just 33 days, from planning, execution to delivery, it set the fastest record for NExT digital human production. The technical team matched the base model of 'Wen Han' in NExT's digital face library through AI algorithms, and relied on its own xLab Motion Capture Lab hardware and xMoCap®AAA Animation Production Pipline Based on Motion Capture to create 'Wen Han' motions. Using the 'combination of reality and imagination' presentation method, combining the virtual digital human with the actual version of the museum scene shooting, the digital interpreter can immerse visitors in the environment and introduce the treasures.
'Wen Han' is now on display in the lobby of Wen Xing Building, the National Library, where it interacts with visitors and tells cultural stories. It made its first public appearance at the 2022 Shenzhen Cultural Fair as part of the China National Archives of Publications and Culture exhibit, leading visitors on tours. 'Wen Han' serves not only as a showcase of cutting-edge technology, but also used to build a friendly communication bridge.
